Since last week’s “Must Watch” post I talked about a musical, today I decided to follow the bliss and share the story of an incredible actress/singer that knows Broadway by heart: The amazing Lea Michele.
Child of a nurse and a delicatessen owner, Lea started performing on Broadway when she was 8 years old. 8 YEARS OLD!! How amazing is that? I can only imagine the thrill of moving an audience in such young age. Born in NYC and raised in New Jersey, she went on an open audition call with a friend and ended it up getting the part of “Young Cosette” in “Les Misérables” in 1995. I mean, why wouldn’t she?? The girl sings with her soul! She continued performing in other Broadway (and off-Broadway) productions such as “Ragtime” and “Spring Awakening” until she decided to move to L.A. to change her career.
My favorite part now begins: Lea was rejected in Hollywood cause she looked too Ethnical and not pretty enough for TV. HA HA HA. Thankfully, just like all other successful people, she didn’t give up. Lea continued trying, and she ended it up auditioning for a little new musical show, named “Glee”. First, you must know: I LOVE GLEE! I would choose a Glee version of a song any day (except for Britney’s, cause nobody does it like Britney). For those that never watched it or are not fans, let me just tell you: You will never see such talented cast in a story that is so positive and cheerful. However, even though all of the talents there are pretty amazing, Rachel Berry tops my list. There’s not one single song (performed by her) that doesn’t move me. Thank you Lea, for showing Hollywood that talent is the most beautiful trait there is.
I decided that I wanted to be a actress because I spent most of my teenage years performing songs and stories in my living room. I was acting and I didn’t even know. People, such as Lea Michele, make me love what I chose even more, cause they also know that acting is so much more than just learning lines and being famous. Is about feelings and emotions, while doing what you love, making people happy, showing them your soul and never giving up on your dreams. Lea won many prizes on Broadway and because of Rachel Berry, but still, every song she sings and every scene she does, that spark inside of eyes’ of those who love their life, never vanishes. I don’t think that happens a lot…
Oh, and did I ever mentioned that I would love to be in musicals if I had the voice for it? Maybe a signing coach could help me… Lea? Are you interested? :D

Já que o “Must-Watch” da semana passada foi um musical, hoje eu decidi que iria continuar nesse barco e dividir com vocês a história de uma atriz/cantora maravilhosa, que conhece a Broadway com a palma da mão: A incrível Lea Michele.
Filha de uma enfermeira e um dono de uma mercearia, Lea começou a se apresentar na Broadway com 8 anos. 8 ANOS DE IDADE!! Quão incrível é isso? Posso só imaginar a emoção de mover uma platéia sendo tão nova. Nascida em NYC e criada em Nova Jersey, ela fez um teste com uma amiga e acabou conseguindo o papel de “Young Cosette” na produção de “Les Misérables” em 1995. Porque vai, como ela não conseguiria? A menina canta com a alma! Agora vem minha parte favorita: Lea foi rejeita por Hollywood porque ela era muito étnica e não bonita o suficiente para a TV. HA HA HA. Felizmente, assim como outras pessoas bem sucedidas, ela não desistiu. Lea continuou tentando, até que conseguiu fazer um teste para um pequeno seriado novo chamado “Glee”. Primeiro, vocês tem que saber: AMO GLEE! Escolheria uma versão Glee acima de qualquer outra versão qualquer dia da semana (exceto músicas da Britney, porque ninguém faz como a Britney). Para aqueles que nunca assistiram ou que não são fans, deixa eu falar uma coisa: Você nunca verá um elenco tão talentoso em uma história tão positiva e alegre. Entretanto, mesmo os talentos sendo inúmeros, Rachel Berry vem no topo da lista. Não tem uma música que ela canta que não mexe comigo. Muito obrigada Lea, por mostrar para Hollywood que talento é traço mais bonito que existe.
Eu decidi ser atriz porque passei a maior parte da minha adolescência me apresentando (em forma de música ou histórias) na minha sala de estar. Eu estava atuando e nem sabia. Pessoas, como Lea Michele, me fazem amar ainda mais o que escolhi para mim, porque eles também sabem que atuar é muito mais do que aprender falas e ser famoso. Tem a ver com sentimentos e emoções, enquanto está fazendo aquilo que ama, deixando pessoas felizes, mostrando sua alma e nunca desistindo dos seus sonhos. Lea ganhou muitos prêmios na Broadway e por causa da Rachel Berry, mas ainda sim, durante toda as músicas que ela canta e cena que participa, é possível ver aquele brilho no olhar de gente que realmente ama sua vida. Não acredito que isso aconteça muito…
Ah, e já contei que sempre quis estar em um musical se eu tivesse a voz para isso? Talvez um professor de canto poderia me ajudar… Lea? Está interessada? :D
